While Hillary gloats about moving a handful of delegates closer, it's looking more and more like this will go down to the wire.
If you caught today's Monday's L.A. Times, you know that the press has been paying even more attention to our organization recently, especially to our efforts in Ohio and Texas. We just received requests from two major news organizations for interviews with any of our members who may be traveling to these states over the next week to campaign for Barack.
If you are heading to Texas or Ohio soon and would like to help get the word out, please contact our press office: email@example.com
We don't want to jinx ourselves, but things are looking good for Barack. In 12 days, voters from Vermont, Rhode Island, and delegate-rich Texas and Ohio could end this stage of the campaign once and for all.
What are our chapters doing to help the effort? Our Ohio chapter is being featured in an upcoming LA Times article, which should be out shortly. Our Texas chapter just started a 12 day push to get Texas Republicans to pledge their support for Obama on the March 4th primary:
Last night we were reminded of Barack's growing support in every region of the country-- from Alaska to Delaware, from Illinois to Georgia. After drawing enormous crowds in Idaho, Connecticut and New Jersey over the past few days, Barack once again showed that he has the most energized supporters in this race, winning every Super Tuesday caucus.
Dear Fellow Republicans:
We're coming upon a critical point in this election. Even after Barack captures South Carolina on the 26th, he'll still faces a tough fight to emerge ahead on Super Tuesday.
Now is the time to show the Democrats that they have only one candidate who can help us heal the divisions that have held us back as a nation. Now is the time to show how broad the nation's support is for an Obama candidacy. Now is the time to give Obama the Republican help that Hillary can only dream of.
If you've been on the site over the last couple of days, you've probably realized that we've had a very good week. First there was the New Yorker article, which increased traffic and helped us grow our membership. Then there was our quote in the Times of London that ended up all over the blogosphere and nearly ended up crashing our site with traffic.
The Obama campaign is looking for Republicans who voted for Bush both in 2000 and 2004, but are now supporting Senator Obama for President. They tell me they are looking for quotes, possibly for upcoming print ads, mailings or to use on the BarackObama.com website.
If this is you and would like to have your contact info forwarded on to the Obama people, please write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Quotes.”
