Another Taliban Leader Captured in Pakistan

Another leader of the Afghan Taliban has been captured by authorities in Pakistan working in partnership with U.S. intelligence officials. Taliban sources in the region and a counterterrorism officials in Washington have identified the detained insurgent leader as Mullah Abdul Salam, described as the Taliban movement's "shadow governor" of Afghanistan's Kunduz province.

Taliban sources told NEWSWEEK's Sami Yousafzai that Salam was grabbed by Pakistani security forces in the city of Faisalabad about a week ago—close to the same time that Pakistani forces, again with American support, captured the Afghan Taliban's No. 2 leader, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, in Karachi. The Taliban sources said that Mullah Salam was arrested with three other militants.

Come on, Obama Administration: stop being so soft on terror! I am amazed at how low key and "modest" the administration is about these recent captures of high level Taliban leaders. Part of me wants them to pull the cowboy antics that Bush was famous for and brag about this at every opportunity. Come on, say it! We told you so, Dick Cheney!

But then the grown up in me realizes that by NOT playing into that macho drama, the Obama Administration is quietly and systematically proving they are more focused on the overall game plan and results than pats on the back. I don't need the White House to set off fireworks and have a parade for themselves for every terrorism-related success story to remind me that I voted for the right guy.

Keep up the good work, President Obama!

When will Obama stop being such a Muslin Schoalist Terrorist sympathizer?
