Al Gore
Last night on Conan O'Brien, Al Gore said: "the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees."
Most scientific estimates place the temperature at the center of the Earth to be about 4000 degrees C. Some scientists think it might be as high as 6000 degrees C.
For those who don't believe in liberal media bias, can you imagine what John Stewart and others would be saying if a Republican like Bush or Palin had said that kind of nonsense on national tv?
But because Al Gore is preaching "liberal gospel" even if it is blatantly untrue, he will get a complete pass from the mainstream media and will continue to be cited as an expert about all things related to the Earth.

I don't agree that he'll get a pass. He hasn't in the past.
This looks like a very old interview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ns_4pzfOSTc Are you sure it was last night? He looks thinner than I thought he has been recently.
It's a dumb mistake, that's for sure and I am sure he'll be ridiculed for it just as he was for a comment that had many saying he invented the internet.
It wasn't last night, I meant last week.
He was on the November 12th show.
John Stewart is the black Green Lantern. I don't know how much science he knows, but I suppose, as he's an ex-Marine, he wouldn't care about anything Al Gore says, true or not.

The interview wasn't last night, it was on 11/12/09 (which is still very recent).
Not being a fan of Al Gore, and being a moderate on all things related to climate change, I usually mentally dismiss him as one who is over impressed with his own importance, and pay little, if any, attention to what he says. (I also think there is financial incentive for some of his work, but that's another story..lol)
I DO think some of the comedy news shows should jump on this, but I think Gore is only the darling of the far left, and is otherwise a has-been to most of America. *shrugs*, comparable to Pat Buchanan, another 2000 candidate who has managed to stay in the public eye to some extent. (My first impulse was to compare him to Dan Quayle, a Republican, but although I disagree with Gore, even he is smarter than Quayle... I think lol)
SCOTTY: "I can'a believe that I've come millions of miles--"
----MCCOY: "Thousands! Thousands!"
SCOTTY: "Er, thousands!..."

Heeeey. . ..
Leave Gore alone!
I think he does pretty darn good considering he's not a native of this planet!
