Michelle Obama to Appear on Jay Leno

By Kelly Thomas - Posted on 20 October 2009

From USA Today. Michelle Obama will appear on Jay Leno this Friday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — First lady Michelle Obama is going to be serving up answers on The Jay Leno Show.

NBC said Monday that Mrs. Obama is set to respond to 10 "rapid-fire questions" in a comedy bit with Leno. She'll participate via satellite from Washington.

Leno's Q&A routine with celebrities and newsmakers has featured Justin Timberlake, Sen. John McCain and LeBron James, among others.

The first lady is to appear Friday on The Jay Leno Show. Colin Firth is the scheduled guest.

Oh, I meant to post the John McCain 10@10. It doesn't appear to be up so i'll post it when it is.  I'll post the Obama one too.

It's pretty odd that the McCain 10@10 still isn't on the website yet. They never hestitate getting most of the videos from the show on the website. I find it odd. Maybe it will be there after the Michelle Obama one is there too on Saturday?

Seems almost like they skipped McCain's 10@10 and never posted it online. They have all of them but his. It's really really odd to me. Not doing any favors for the 'liberal media' crowd, but from memory I don't even remember McCain saying anything that bad. He did say the word 'Obamacare' once.

I don't suppose there's a feedback feature, a "contact us" link?

It's sad that we've reached a point where 'government service' is a dirty word... If we're the greatest country on earth, maybe we can have the greatest government.

I haven't looked, but probably. I'm kind of half and half on that option; which means I kind of want to know why, but I also don't care that much. ( :

In the mean time here's the opening sketch of Saturday Night Live from last weekend. The Rock came back as The Rock Obama.

I'm bored so i'll include my favorite sketch from last week, which was a parody of Beauty and the Beast.

Ok, one more. "Don't ask, Don't Tell" with the Spartan army from the movie '300'.

That's hilarious!
Even though I'm not into fake pro wrestling, The Rock, The Body, and The Hulkster are awesome.

Not to ruin the thread but this is interesting and thought-provoking almost as much as it is ridiculous.

I found this in the comment section of "The Rock Obama" It's an Examiner article about Michelle Obama's 'inner circle' of her staff for the first lady. A lot of Chicago natives. AHHHH!!!

Part of one of the more reasonable comments to the article:

em>.....

She had the luxury of surrounding herself with the people she knows and trusts. Too bad her husband didn't, instead he is saddled with Rahm Emmanuel. Larry Summers and Tim Gietner among others.

LOL!!!

I think the President surrounded himself by mostly people very strong in the roles for which they were chosen.

Then there's Timmy G...

From MSNBC. Michelle Obama speaks out about health care reform. She should be out there more. What a voice to be leading this cause!

WASHINGTON -- For the second time in as many months, First Lady Michelle Obama entered the contentious fray over health care, urging breast cancer survivors and their advocates not to lose heart in what may seem like an uphill battle to get legislation through Congress.

She made the remarks at an event she hosted with Dr. Jill Biden to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The pair were joined on stage by three breast cancer survivors struggling to pay for health coverage, because their cancer, though in remission, was deemed a pre-existing condition.

The first lady said that while progress had been made battling the disease, the fight would not be finished until the health care system was revamped. She cited a Department of Health and Human Services report that showed that even breast cancer patients with employer-sponsored insurance paid an average of more than $6,200 in out-of-pocket costs per year and some paid as much as $30,000 or more, while those without insurance struggle to pay for care. She said caps on coverage hurt cancer patients and that other women suffered because they could not pay for needed screenings.

"There are people in this country who have breast cancer, but don't even know it because they can't afford a mammogram," Obama told the crowd gathered in the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden on the east side of the White House. "This is not acceptable in this country. This is something that could happen to any of us."

Here's Michelle's 10@10. I like her a lot but I found this to be kind of boring and not worth the hype.

Breaking Drudge report

Michelle Obama "He beats me quite often"

RFOL...I had similiar thoughts.  "The most annoying thing is when he beats me...."  Rush will be in hogs heaven.  lol

It crossed my mind last night too. I guess it's crazy to think that there isn't enough immaturity to use that remark for jokes?

They should be careful if they want to avoid the racist label... Idiots....

This may have lacked excitement, but I found it quite charming...very real.  A lot of her answers were the kind "AnyWoman USA"would give.  I love each and every reminder of how very grounded this family is.

Thanks for posting this...I missed it last night.
