TO VOTE FOR MCCAIN IS TO VOTE FOR BUSH 3 IS THIS WANT WE WANT?

By angelo3718 - Posted on 06 March 2008

i know most of you are going to vote for mccain if  hiliary is nominated, and i really cant blame you, but the question is?  if Mccain gets in office we are going to continue to go downhill, the economy will not improve, we are not going to get out of iraq, and we are going to have a war with iran, by the way  he will be impeached the  first  year of his term  give me your thoughts  thanks
Just speaking for myself, I'd prefer 4 more years of Bush (and I don't really think McCain would be a carbon copy of Bush) than 4 more years of the Clintons. This whole dynasty thing between the Bushes and the Clintons has to stop.
I have to agree with that last reply. I don't think McCain is 4 more years of Bush. And in reality, even if our man Obama gets elected, I would place money on the fact that we won't be pulling out of Iraq right away. Maybe sooner, but not right away. There is a possibility we would go to war with Iran even if he was elected. That isn't the point. The point is that Barack can bring healing to our nation and effect some unity instead of the divisiveness we've had for the last 16 years. This website is living proof of that. Hillary would only further deepen the chasm between us. McCain, even though he isn't the most inspiring guy, has continually worked across party lines for what (in his mind at least) is most beneficial. Most people say they work across party lines, but John McCain is the only senator you really hear about bucking his own party to support what he thinks is a good cause. Hillary doesn't know how to think outside of partisan politics. Also, John McCain (like Barack) is reputably an honest and straight-forward person. The tail of Hillary's past tells of a very different kind of person. With respect to Bush, McCain is a very smart guy who has is own opinions and follows his own values. Bush - and we've always known this - is not such a bright guy. He just put incredibly smart people around him, and unfortunately, got some bad advice from some of those folks. And by the way, I'm not sure where you get the idea that he'd be impeached. That sounds like inflammatory rhetoric that is put out by liberal pundits - not something that's going to fly to well on the Republicans for Obama website.

Angelo

McCain has gone against the Bush admin  on Many Issues and crossed over to the Dems on Some Crucial Ones

Why do you feel he'd be impeached his first year of office?

Angelo, I agree that McCain isn't the answer to our problems as a nation right now.  But I strongly believe that Clinton is even LESS of an answer.  I fervently believe that Obama is just what we need to heal our nation, and put us back on the right path.  But should Obama lose, I would have to cast my vote for McCain.

With that being said, I have two questions for you:

1.  If Clinton chould win the nomination, could you in good consience vote for her?

2.  What makes you say that McCain would be impeached in his first term?

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these two questions.

i rather have clinton than mccain, give me ur thougts on the economy not improving  behind mccain, also how long are we going to be in this war?

I will be glad to give my thoughts on those things in a moment.  First, why do you think McCain would be impeached?  I would like to have all the facts to base my decision on.......
