say YOUR personal public goodbye to Bush and Cheney through congress

Now that's cool....I bet they won't want to read some of these, especially mine.

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible... ...who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

Mr. President, Mr. Vice President: I know you don't listen to anyone but yourselves, but...

You were wrong.

And there's no sense crying over every mistake
You just keep on trying 'til you run out of cake.

When and where can I bid adieu to Mr. Rumsfeld?  I know he's been gone, but I really would like my own version of "closure" for that man, too.

For me, it's him more than any of the others, including Bush and Cheney.

Well, Cheney and Rumsfeld worked together in the Nixon administration, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were on the same page on at least foreign policy.

As for giving him some "closure", I suppose hiring a skywriter to write in the air, "Hey, Donny! Up Yours!" might work...

THis is an opinion piece, but it makes you wonder about Cheney & Rummy. I read this a couple of years ago when I signed for an email to recieve these articles.

THANK YOU for posting that link, Hope. That is eye-opening.

The end of the piece sums up why I feel the way I do about a new administration: I'm sick and tired of living in fear, and having the Executive Branch purveyors of it.

Suzi : I sent this message to the dickmeister :

Satan will be crying for years without you in office to do his work.
Good bye and y'all don't come back now, here!

That one is very appropriate, lep.  Less than a week until evil no longer holds the office of VP, serving as a shadow government to bring his hell to earth.
You have a choice of using your power for good or evil and we know which one they both chose.

Here's what I sent to Bush:

"You have nearly destroyed our country.  We have poor moral standing in the world.  You have instigated a pre-emptive and unnecessary war in Iraq with all its attendant human damage.  You have trampled on our Constitution and human rights with your support of torture.  You have utterly failed to provide support to those most needing it, as in the case of Hurricane Katrina.  You have passed tax cuts that benefit only the wealthy and that do NOT trickle down.  You have played fast and loose with the economy, allowing laissez-faire policies to bring us to financial ruin.  You have taken the reckless approach of shooting first and asking diplomatic questions later.  Despite your claims to the contrary, you have left us more vulnerable than ever to terrorism by making us hated even by those who were formerly neutral.  Even your potentially beneficial policies, such as No Child Left Behind and tighter national security, have failed for lack of political and financial support.

"As a combat-wounded Vietnam veteran, I am ashamed of the pass to which you have brought our nation.  Your presidency will inevitably go down as the worst, bar none, of all those who came before.  Good riddance."

I do not believe I will send a message to Bush but if I did it would be only to copy yours. You said most if not all and covered it so well as words can.
Thanks, seabee, but I'm sure you could come up with more.  I've only scratched the surface of Bush's failures.  Please feel free to pile it on.
