Bush Administration's last end-run around the law

I shouldn't be shocked by the Bush Administration pushing so many executive orders to help out big business at the expense of the planet and the people that dwell therein, but there it is. I hope Obama, if the people are wise enough to see him inaugurated, is able to convict the criminals who inhabit the White House now.
This pisses me off. These people only see dollar signs in the Presidency! They do not care about people, they do not care about the economy, they do not care about ethics, they only want money, and for their friends to be filthy rich. And for what!? Six years of a quagmire in Iraq, an abandoned hunt for al Qaeda, and a shredded Constitution?! Eight years of spiting the other two branches of the federal government, not to mention the citizenry and the international community, just because your former boss was forced to resign, Dick Cheney / Donald Rumsfeld!?
These men need to be tried, convicted, and executed for treason. They sold us out to plutocrats, and they have turned this democratic republic into a farce and a laughingstock. All for piling wealth onto the wealthy. Give me a goddamn break.
plutocrats - is almost what it looks like they have been trying to do using the cover of neoconservatism and getting votes on social issues that mean not much at all once you are in the WH.
Yeah, this was the administration of anything-goes, and if you're caught, absolve yourself of any responsibility.

Sticker/sign tally in Orange County, CA:

  • Obama - 10
  • McCain - 3
  • (As of 2008/10/31)

This reminds me a lot of the end days of the Clinton administration -- except that Clinton at least waited until after the election to actually enact his controversial rules and stuff.

Not that "They do it too!" is a good argument, but really, I'm neither shocked nor dismayed over this stuff.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, & wiser people so full of doubts.
