Bachmann, Meet Hayes
From Politico:
Warming up a crowd in North Carolina on Saturday, Republican Rep. Robin Hayes offered the diagnosis that “liberals hate real Americans that work and achieve and believe in God.”

I fully agree, and it saddens me that Christians (or so the claim) are acting this way, and on top of that are completely distorting scripture in order to justify and fuel their prejudices. What's worse is that they're so good at it that the world believes that Christianity is an exculsive, unintelligent, and radical faith.
I love the Lord. A vote in one direction or another isn't going to take that away from me.
Rep. Robin Hayes sounds like a good Sadducee to me. There still time for God to change his heart, though, if someone would just intercede in prayer to the Father on his behalf. It's a shame, though, that some people are lost and just don't even know it.

Interesting. Hayes denies the Resurrection?
That, and the fact that they hung around the Temple a lot (and were annihilated by the Romans) is all I remember of the Sadducees.
I listened intently to the sermon last Sunday where the topic was "render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar..." The pastor stated that our Caesar is our Constitution, our three branches of government. Our Christian commitment is to vote, and also to investigate and learn the truth about our political candidates. Right after the sermon we sang the hymn "Christ by Heavenly Hosts Adored." I was moved by the last verse;
My mother and I both thought the pastor was making a statement about seeking the truth and not following the vicious distortions and lies being spread around during this political season.
How dare people like Hayes presume to know what others believe based !!! If he was any sort of "christian," he would know he shouldn't be judging others. He would also know the Bible says to treat one another as you want to be treated and to love your fellow man. I'm not seeing much of that in McPalin's campaign. So if their "Christian base" believes the lies and filth that McPalin are spreading, I feel sorry for them, for they are being led to the slaughter.
