On CNN now!!!!!

Thanks

I put it on now.

I'm at work....what are they saying??

Is there a web link to streaming CNN video?

Today, CNN reports on Sarah Palin's connection to, and her husband, Todd Palin's membership in an Anti-American fringe group, the Alaska Independence Party (AIP) which was founded by a domestic terrorist.

Obama/Biden 2008

Isn't that just sweet?  You betcha!
Thanks for the link.
(What in the world was McCain thinking?  Oh, that's right, he must be in the early stages of senility.)

"Is it just me or do things move quick around here?" Todd Palin told ABC News.

Hang on Todd the rides just begun.

Obama/Biden 2008

Yeah, founded by domestic terrorist Joe Vogler, who blew himself up attempting to secure explosives for some illegal activity. This Palin woman is some piece of work.
Don't know yet. I am still watching. On commercial now.
McCain campaign just sent a statement to CNN condemning their airing the interview with Salon.com on AIP, and Todd and Sarah's relationship with it. They don't want that to get out into the public arena.
I'm counting on you to fill me in, wc. ok?
I just turned it on - her connection to the Alaskan Independent Party. They are showing her video to the convention.
The McCain campaign is screaming UNFAIR to a CNN piece linking the Palin's to the secessionist AKIP.  After all being a member of the AKIP - as Todd Palin was, and praising them in a video - as Sarah Palin did, is not a real link, while serving on an education board with someone who had been a terrorist 30 years earlier is the same as being a terrorist.

Unfair, huh?  And would McPalin care to say just why it is unfair??  Sheesh

McCain should have done a bit of vetting instead of being so impulsive.

They have the leader of the party being quoted in 2004 as Sarah Palin being just the kind of person they need to infiltrate the other parties. Interesting!
I read that a while back, and wondered if it would ever see the light of day.  As I said before, CNN tries to be objective.

Awesome!  It's about time this got some coverage.  This should put the "Ayers" ads on the back burner for a while.  This was pitbull Sarah and her husband...not guilt by association.

Kudo's to CNN.  I wonder how Sean Hannity will try to refute THIS one?

Probably something like how this is a prime example of how the liberal mainstream media is in Obama's pocket and that this is a very "desperate" attempt by their campaign to deflect attention from the all important issue of the Obama/Ayers connection to an issue that is "minor" and "insignificant" at best. (Shakes head)  Oh, please!

Extremist politics, hypocritical ethics, racial animosity, these traits and more are painting the picture of Sarah Palin as the Worst Pick in Presidential Political History!

It appears the Palin episode in Republican politics will affect not only McCain's political fortunes but the election-day prospects for a large number of Republicans in tight races all the way down the ballot.  For every Palin worshipping mindless zenophobe that runs to the poll on election day there will be at least two who vote Obama in response who otherwise would have voted Republican or not at all.

Now hold McCain knee-jerk gut-instinct decisionmaking as demonstrated in the Palin pick next to these phrases;

CALM, STEADY HAND ON THE TILLER

COUNTRY FIRST

Catchphrase and slogan respectively proven as gross misstatement and outright lie, this before the election is even over.

Thank you Sarah, your very presence on the ballot has served the country more that you know...

CNN informed the McCain campaign at 9:30 this morning eastern time that they intended to run this story. In its statement to CNN, the McCain campaign spokesperson said basically running that story was like running a story trying to impugn Sen. Obama's religion. What shmucks!

This just gets better.  So AIP is their true religion!

As that old saying goes; people who play with matches, get burned.

AIP just sent a statement to CNN condemning their coverage of this story.
Did they bother to point out any inaccuracies?
They just effectively said that the story about the connections was "overblown."
Palin hammered Obama on Rush today (only friendly turf for her these days) about Acorn saying he is partly responsible for the voter fraud (BTW-technically-not voter fraud, it's voter registration fraud and Obama has nothing to do with it.) But when the tables are turned on her-for valid reasons-it's out of bounds. She can't even admit the truth behind the Troopergate report! Can you even imagine what she'd be like as VP? We thought Cheney was bad! I will warn Obama now that Acorn will come up at the debate-so he needs to be clear and consise on the group-how McCain supported the group too (and many Republicans)-and the politics behind these accusations. Ofcourse he should reject any mishandling within the organization but explain the good it does and his very limited influence/role, if any.
My newspaper carried an editiorial on ACORN, which basically said that while a few workers were turning in fraudulent or incomplete information, it is usually found by ACORN. However, in compliance with the law, they must turn in everything. NO voter registrations are allowed to be thrown out. They attach cover sheets to the incorrect ones, which apparently Nevada decided to ignore or overlook. Sounds like the state's problem to me, not ACORN'S. Also, on NPR today, they spoke with someone from Loyola University who explained that it is not voter fraud unless someone actually shows up to vote under that name. Also, he said that the McCain campaign was obviously trying to sow seeds of doubt, so that if it is a close election, they can scream foul. Brother, just what we need - another contentious election. The spokesman for McPalin said that they could drag this election out for a very long time. So much for gracious losers.
FIANLLY... I was completely confused and found it utterly crazy that if the media was going to obsess over Ayers that they cover odd affiliations on BOTH sides like this GLARING one. Finally...
SG, I completely agree, I wondered the same thing.  Hat's off to CNN for doing the professional thing and covering all of it.  I think the MSM has been asleep for much of the past eight years, finally some are waking up and becoming journalists again.

I think they are trying to bury it according to Kos

I will not throw the first punch, but I will certainly throw the last...BHO

WHO'S trying to bury it - the msm or McPalin?

I just went to CNN's website and I can't find any info about it there...I did a thread about this last week. Here is the link to the interview on salon.com

http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2008/10/10/palin_chryson/

I can't figure out why it hasn't gotten more coverage...

I well remember that thread, and have wondered ever since when someone would cover it.  I've never cared much for Rick Sanchez's style, but I have to give him credit for doing this story. I wonder when/if others will follow up on it?

McPalin off course

I will not throw the first punch, but I will certainly throw the last...BHO

WINK POSE  SMILE  WAVE YOUR WAY OUT  THIS

PALIN

WHICH COUNTRY FIRST SARAH?

hey, here's a thought!!!

maybe, just maybe, the McCain/Palin campaign think-tanks turned their scopes inward for inspiration, and then decided to make it part of their new tactics against Obama!!

(unpatriotic behavior, anti-american, alaskan independence party, domestic terrorists, weather underground, Ayers... Obama... LOL)

I see, so Palin has become the McCain camp's muse!

OMG!  Did McCain even vet this woman?  Come on this is Palin speaking.  Not like they are trying to say Obama is guilty by association.  She is guilty by her own words.  I cannot believe they have the nerve to talk about Obama's relationships.
I'll bet Palin's people threatened CNN in some way. Hope they don't cave. I think the fact that they held out so long on reporting this was a courtesy to Palin. BTW-I thought I'd peak at Hannity tonight to see if he's "moved on" from those attacks that aren't working. Nope. He had another guest on agreeing with him that Obama has lied about Ayers, Wright, Acorn, etc. They went nuts on the Acorn thing. He was very rude to Combs, as usual. The Acorn stuff is unfounded in my opinion. Acorn actually inititated the investigations from what I understand. It's also getting into the subtle "racism, poor communities" arena if you ask me. There was a reason Palin targeted "community organizations" at the RNC convention.

AIP = Patriot Movement

Patriot Movement gave birth to Timothy McVeigh

Timothy McVeigh = One of the most destructive and murdering DOMESTIC TERRORISTS in the history of our country.

Talk about pointing one fiinger with Four Fingers pointing back!
