Going to Oxford, MS…need t-shirt ideas

By Suthngal - Posted on 07 September 2008

So I am going to Oxford during the 1st Presidential Debate, and I wanted to create a tshirt to express my feelings about being a RFO.

1)  I thought creating a shirt with pics of different flip-flops with sayings that McCain has changed on.  Unsure if I’ll have enough room on a shirt.

2)  I thought about having on say, “This Republican Rape Doesn’t Support Palin”

3)  Say no to 8 more years!

4)  Republicans are “Fired up and ready to go!”  RFO

5) I am a PROUD republican…Obama/Biden 08

Fellow RFOs, please help me with some your good thoughts.

8 is Enough...Republicans for Obama

That's a good one. Another that I saw here but I cannot find the original (I think it was by jmartin):

Five years of torture doesn't mean we need to suffer four more (or something like that).

 Here we go: http://www.republicansforobama.org/?q=node/1877

"Just because Senator McCain was tortured for 5 1/2 years doesn't mean we have to be tortured for 8."

Best. Comment. Ever.

The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, & wiser people so full of doubts.
-- Bertrand Russel

All of those are great ideas for a shirt!

BTW, I still want a shirt with my saying on it...

I am SO voting for Obama!  :-)

A couple off the top of my head:

Real Republicans vote Obama

Reagan Republicans vote Obama

?

Ooh... this one's good if anyone here or anyone you know can draw cartoon-style...

On the front: Sarah Palin pointing a shotgun the GOP Elephant

On the back: An Elephant foot crushing the McCain/Palin logo... caption: "Republicans for Obama: Voting for America"

"Reagan Republicans vote Obama"

Obama's values are the polar opposite of Reagan's.

This is a provable fact, not my opinion.

This would be hilarious, if it wasn't such idiocy.
Idiocy, Brandon?  Let's be careful in our choice of words and in the condescending manner of posting, ok?  I'm asking this as the forum moderator.  You've crossed too many lines already.
As idiotic as pushing Palin as the new Reagan to Dems?
I agree saying Palin is the new Reagan is way out there.

Real Republicans don't want EXTREMISM !

That's good!!!!!!!

I like that one Suzi!
I hear you Suzi, but you sometimes you have to call it like it is.
That may be true Brandon, but you may find yourself having to call it like it is somewhere else, if you get my drift.  We welcome your respectful debate, but not name calling, nor condescending/confrontational posts.

Do you sometimes ban people who disagree with the "party line" from this forum.

I've heard about other places where Obama supporters have very thin skin.

Here's an idea: instead of hijacking this thread too, suggest some T-Shirt ideas, like the rest of us here. Since my suggestions suck so much, give better ones!
Alina, my t-shirt suggestions would likely get me banned.
lol! :)
Actually, no Brandon.  We have never "banned" anyone who disagrees with us.  We have only "banned" a couple of people who refused to abide by the TOS, and were repeatedly rude, disruptive or consistantly confrontational.  We insist on respectful and civil discourse, not the constant badgering and insults found on so many political boards.

Thanks for letting me know, I don't want to step over the line.

I thought of one more!

I thought about saying, "This Republican SO agrees with John McCain."  Then a pic of his sign Country First...Then at the bottom say Obama/Biden 08!

Thank you Suzi, Ruth_L, Alina, Jaygade, and LesleyM for your inputs.  Now I have a lot to think about!  I'm so excited.

Let us know what you decide on!  And, if you can... send us a picture :-)

Can do!

Please, whichever one you choose, have it be a positive message rather than an anti-McCain/Palin message.

Is there a difference?  LOL.

Honesly, as a rape survivor, mother and physician I am 100% anti-Palin.

I have to say, this was a fun idea!
