Poli Sci Research: Today's G.O.P. Most Conservative in 100 Years

In a blogpost from npr.org, political scientists Keith Poole of the University of Georgia and Howard Rosenthal of New York University declared that the Republican party is the most conservative they've been in a century.

Said Dr. Poole, "It is true that the Republicans have moved further to the right than the Democrats have moved to the left. That's absolutely true."

In case you're wondering, Poole is a self-described conservative though Tim Groseclose of Ricochet.com, who claims to be a friend of Poole's, believes he is more of a libertarian than a conservative.

I still can't get over the fact that RNC chairman Reince Priebus compared woman to "war on caterpillars", because the GOP want to limit women’s access to mammograms, cervical cancer screenings, prenatal care, and contraception. There is nothing moral or patriotic about how conservatives view health care issues. The GOP policymakers at the federal and state level are undermining women’s health care is as severe as anything we’ve seen from a major party in many many years. Unlike the war on caterpillars, GOP efforts are real.
