As most of you may know, in a past life I worked in the oil industry but more the  trading, environmental, tax and importation aspects for this important industry to our nation’s economy.

I hope this finds you all well and that you're enjoying the start of spring -- and of course golf -- if that happens to be your vice of choice as it is mine.

First, kudos to Bill Clinton and the Obama Administrations for securing the release of these two journalists from N. Korea.

Sanford, Ensign, Vitter, Craig... wow, it seems that everyone in the world sees the trouble Republicans are in BUT the GOP leadership. This from the Washington Post:

Say it ain't so.  The squeaky clean Democrats may have a scandal a brewin'.  Huffington Post is reporting that pretty boy Edwards' PAC may have improperly paid his concubine money for shooting "campaign" video and furniture purchases (I guess she could be considered furniture if he was sitting on her).

I usually try to stay out of these issues but I read Iowa's Supreme Court decision that basically affirms the right of gays and lesbians to marry in that state.

I don’t know much about cars other than they need gasoline to run, regular service calls to change the oil and rotate tires and a good wash and wax from time to time.

Too often we honor swagger and bluster and the wielders of force; too often we excuse those who are willing to build
