McCain's advisor is an Obamican?

Senior advisor to McCain, Mark MacKinnon, has indicated today he will step down from the McCain campaign if Obama wins the Dem nomination.
MacKinnon is quoted, "I have met Barack Obama. I have read his book. I like him a great deal. I disagree with him on very fundamental issues but it would be uncomfortable for me and it would be bad for the McCain campaign" for him to stay on staff.
The confession, along with former Republican Senator Lincoln Chafee's endorsement today, indicates again just how much potential there is for cross party support for Obama, and how high up within the Republican Party the Obamican support exists.

It's incredible to see how
It's incredible to see how highly respected Obama is amongst his peers. I wonder if more people will be speaking out on his behalf, even if not endorsing, so much as saying, "I can't go against him." Like MacKinnon has.
To me, personally, that's an even more profound statement. No political agenda, just sheer respect for the man.
This election cycle is so... unpredictable!

I posted a video way back on youbama, and now it's pages and pages of support! My video was view well over a thousand times, and voted on as well. The dig obama site is fantastic, because I go to dig.com just to find news others "dug" about Obama! It's the fastest, most current information. THIS ROCKS!!!

Thanks Sandi for another good site! Although I confess to keeping my speakers off most of the time, and watching few videos. I spend most of my waking hours on sensory overload, and a couple of hours at the computer where I can read, read, read!! But this was worth turning up the speakers for a little while.

1331 views so far. The video includes my married son 22 yr old Nate, his wife Robin, and two kids, Stacey, 2 and Ryan 1. My 17 yr old Jordan (jordie is 6'5" 292 lbs and plays football), my 13 yr old son Dylan, and my 6 yr old Hunter. My husband is in a few, as well as my dear friend Katie, giving blood for the first time. I am a Blood Donor Coordinator for the Red Cross in my spare time. The Obama organizers were my inspiration. As well as meeting a top Obama adviser in March at a mexican restaurant, Mark Alexander. He made a wondeful impression on me, and was the begining of my shift in mindset. WHEN OBAMA SAYS CHANGE THE MINDSET of the old ways, it's not a cult. It's the most my eyes have been open my entire life!

Wow SS (Sister Sandi) Great video. What a wonderful family you have. When I see all of the young ones, ( I have four grandsons, and a fifth one on the way) I KNOW that we must have change if there is to be a United States left for them to inherit. Obama is, to me, our only hope for change. Otherwise, we can just sit back and wait for our nation to self-destruct!
The thing that grabbed me the most in the video, sent chills all over me......was when it stated...."I BELIEVE IN THE URGENCY OF NOW!!". I too am HOOKED ON HOPE.

Obama won me over, too, with a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. The fierce urgency of NOW. It's not rhetoric. It's a stated fact! If the WAR wasn't happening...no fierce urgency of NOW. If the economy wasn't tanking....no fierce urgency of NOW!
I'd love to hear more from you Suzi on how it was when you were a young woman, starting a family, with the craziness of time. I was born one year after Kennedy was killed, and my parents, to me, were so much more like "HAPPY DAYS" then what that time really was.
